St. Vincent de Paul
St. Paul’s St. Vincent de Paul Society quietly and without judgment
graciously serves the needs of many who find themselves without food, clothing, or shelter.
They are supported by monthly appeals or by personal donations. Depending on our ability
and resources, we, through St. Vincent de Paul, are more than willing to help anyone in
need. This organization meets once a month to review requests for food, clothing, and/or
other needs. Members of this organization meet with needy families to help alleviate
hardships that have come their way. Twice a year St. Paul’s assist with the local soup
kitchen located in downtown Youngstown on Front Street. When assigned to help at the soup
kitchen, usually six to eight members from the parish will work the kitchen four days that
week. Dates are published in the parish bulletin should you like to join us. A kind heart
and compassionate spirit are required. As a member of the parish, who helps in this regard,
you can make a difference in the lives of the many who have need.
