Silas Marners
Silas Marner was at one time in his life very wealthy. He
lost his fortune but learned that money wasn’t everything. There are a number of
people who gather on Monday morning to count the weekend collection. The collection
is taken to the bank after mass by one of the hospitality volunteers. On Monday,
it’s counted. These men and women rotate every so many weeks so that there is
always a new team working with each other. Even this brief amount of time is very
important and much appreciated.
