Eucharistic Ministers
These are men and women who assist at mass with the distribution of communion.
Receiving communion has been identified with full participation at mass since the beginning of the
Breaking of the Bread in the early church. Gathering around the table of the Lord has always been a
sign and source of nourishment. Ministers of the Eucharist assist in the sharing of communion - both
Body and Blood of the Lord. Some Eucharistic Ministers also assist in bringing communion to the sick
and homebound. Eucharistic Ministers are invited each year to be trained and experience growth
opportunities that will deepen their relationship with the Lord. In-service is required. Scheduling is
up to each volunteer. After prayer & discernment, being a Eucharistic Minister can begin after one’s
Confirmation. You are most worthy and more than welcome to help out.
