R.C.I.A.
This stands for Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults. This program runs
from September to Easter. One can be a part of RCIA as a formal teacher or as a support person.
Those adults interested in becoming Catholic meet once a week to learn about and share faith. The
teaching staff usually teaches once a month; our support team attends as much as possible. Sharing
your faith will strengthen you and another. It is here that as a parish we share and reflect on
the scriptures. Catholics can also join this group to deepen and renew their faith. While this
program runs from September thru the Easter Season, "learning about one’s faith," is a life-long,
never ending experience. Sacraments of Initiation are usually celebrated at the Easter Vigil.
Those who commit to this process attend TRE sessions supplemented by classes on various Wednesday
evenings throughout the year.
